Shy traveller, passionate reader, young yogi, funky wines and beers amateur. Marie-Pier Gagné or YesYesLola is a 28 years old graphic designer and illustrator, currently based in Montréal.
She found her real passion as an illustrator while studying art in her hometown: Saguenay. The name Lola comes form her grandmother who’s always dressing well, with perfume, a ton of jewelries, makeup and snow white hair; A strong woman crossing Canada in her Fifth wheel to come chill a bit with her family.
YesYesLola inspirations are based on the people she meets and the experience she has. Her style and colors come from a past as a cosmetician (oui oui, we know!) but also from her favorite illustrator Steven Appleby, creator of Captain Star, a weird sci-fi cartoon from the 90’s. She love playing with symmetry and organic textures to make playful contradictions. Playing with pencils and paper at first then bringing life to her designs on Illustrator and Photoshop.
